This infruiates me. Marilyn Monroe was made famous by her full and vuluptious crurves, her tell all smile, and a spark of life that cannot be recreated and removed. She had a light. Moreover, she had confidence. Lindsay Lohan represents all the failing for women in the 20th century: Low self esteem, a lackluster grimace, and worst yet, an obvious eating disorder that is dangerous not only for herself but for the thousands of young women who respect and admire her for what ever reason. The fact that these two woman are being compared is infuriating. Give us a real woman if you are going to be comparing Monroe to anyone. Preferably one with a personality, who EATS.
Boy oh boy do I agree. I’ve got nothing personally against Lindsey Lohan but that shoot was a bad move. She is offering herself up to be compared to Marilyn Monroe which is a very unwise thing to do. Lindsey strikes me as a young, very emotionally unstable, very shallow young lady who craves love and security but goes the wrong way about getting it opting for the ‘look at me’ attention demanding route. She really needs to take some time out from la la land, get real and stop acting the silly young messed girl part.
to even try to re-create, or put yourself near marilyn is such a mistake and wrong to do…lindsey lohan has no way, shape or form to the images that marilyn has left us…to see the beautiful, immaculate, stunning natural beauty of marilyn is the best ever…she captures everything there is to photography…but to then see lindsey “try” to re-create any image of her, is just stupid on her part and anyone else for that matter…there is no way in hell anyone could ever hold a candle to marilyn, or even come close…lindsey looks ridiculous…absolutely hilarious…there is no beauty to the pictures at all…marilyn will always be held high above everyone…
I agree as well…What the hell was Lindsey thinking she will never be anything close to Marilyn Monroe…I dont think anyone should compare themselves with Marilyn Monroe..No one will ever be anything like her..Marilyn had the best smile, personality and was just natural at everything..They can try all they want to but will never get anywhere close to Marilyn’s grace, smile, personality, or beauty..
I have lost all respect for Bert Stern. Lohan looks hideous on that cover. What a mistake to take that one-of-a-kind shoot and include Lindsay Lohan ANYWHERE in it. Lohan doesn’t have Marylin’s curves or beautiful face… I also think Marylin had more of a head on her shoulders than this idiot Lohan, and I know that might not be saying a lot, but it’s true. What an absolute crock. What is he trying to say with these new pictures, that Marylin was a fuck up to be compared to a modern-day fuck up? Lord.
Not to mention that Lohan looks like a corpse in most of those pictures…
Lohan looks so physically old. Much older looking than Monroe’s photos. And Lohan is so much younger than Marilyn was at that time!

I can not stand Lindsey Lohan. She’s always in trouble and never puts a stop to partying. She needs loads of help. She was a real good actor it truly is unfortunate.

The young lady needs to be doing more than ninety days in prison, anything much less and I believe is to total diss towards legal system. She’s already getting off totally free just since she’s a movie star. It totally sends an unacceptable message, especially to the children that adore her as a role model. I am reading now that she’ll most likely only wind up serving 14 days of her 90 day sentence. I guess driving whilst plastered is simply not so bad after all- the activities these celebrities get away with is so sad.
Give her a break, you idiots. Only a fool would idealise Marilyn – she was a druggie who had affairs, career difficulties, and was totally messed up, not to mention dying in mysterious circumstances. Not too different to Lindsay then!
