Agence France-Presse Celebrates 20 Years of the International Festival of Photojorunalism

Impressive slideshow of AFP pays tribute to the International Festival of Photojournalism from September 1-6, 2008 in Perpignan, France

Come to our stand at the Palais des Congrès. See live displays of Agence France-Presse’s news wires and photo production. There will be wide screen displays of the best photographs of the year: everything from fashion to the Beijing Olympics, Euro 2008 football and crises in Kenya, Myanmar and Georgia.

AFP is paying tribute to the 20 years of the International Festival of Photojournalism, Visa pour l’Image, with a unique exhibition: “Twenty Years Covering the World.” The exhibition at the Couvent des Minimes will showcase the best work by our photographers: the images that mattered most over the last two decades.

AFP will also feature in the Campo Santo evening slideshows; both in the section on this year’s major news events and in the thematic series, notably with subjects on the Iraq war and “Twenty Years Covering the World.”
